Diane Larocque
aquarelliste
I was born in 1947,
in Gaspé, Québec and I completed my education in the Outaouais region, as well
as in Manitoba and British Columbia. I have always
liked to draw and to do handicrafts. I travelled a lot. I became a teacher and
a secondary school administrator in order to earn a living. I brought up three
children. When I retired, I finally did what my heart and hands always wanted:
to paint. I chose to work with watercolour because the medium suited my need
for softness, transparency and diversity. I use inks as well since they offer
resistance and stability and contribute to depth and sharpness. I discovered
that I liked to paint on small surfaces and to use various papers… producing
cards was a natural evolution.
I offer you my
talent, my ideas and my expertise. My mini watercolours are created for your
pleasure…and they give a personal touch to your letters and invitations … it is
what I call functional art, a useful combination.
